Life Group Discussion Questions
Start It:
Why do Small Groups?
Small Groups is an ideal way to get involved in community here at Glenkirk. They are a great way to take the "next step" and get involved in the active community life we have. In our groups we study scripture, discusses questions or concerns we have, build real relationship with others, and serve God as a community.
So why is community important?
For starters, community is one of the most fundamental pieces of Church. The book of Acts paints a great image of a Church living as a community in 2:42-47. It speaks of believers gathering together, devoting themselves to teaching and fellowship, serving those in-need, eating together, and worshiping God. Community was how Church was done, and it is still the best way Church is done today.
Also, community helps us grow. We learn from each other, help each other, and challange each other. In community we have the oppertunity to struggles with scripture with others who are facing the same challanges.
To get involved with a community at church, is a great way for you to further engage your discipleship with Jesus Christ.

Life Groups are Glenkirk's Sermon Based Small Groups. These groups are designed to:
make communities where people can ASK about Jesus, BECOME who God wants them to be, and CREATE God's kingdom on earth.
Here are a couple of things that are distinct about Life Groups:
1) All of them study Jim's sermon every week
2) They have a start and end time which will usually last 8-10 weeks.
3) It allows people to get to know a wider range of people at the Church.
4) All Life Groups meet every week
Life Groups meet every Fall, Winter, and Spring, and this year the following dates will be the start and end date for them.
