DEACON/ELDER NOMINATIONS

Nominations are now open for Elder/Deacon positions for the class of 2012.  The Glenkirk Nominating Committee is currently seeking recommendations for men and women who would be willing to serve beginning January, 2012.  All nominees must be members of Glenkirk.  Your input is vital to the selection of our leaders.  If you would like to nominate a candidate, please print out the Nomination Form and forward to the church office by Monday, May 23^rd.

Requirements for the Office of Elder and Deacon

• A demonstrated commitment to Jesus Christ and willingness to responsibly serve this congregation and its ministry vision with diligence
• Acceptance of the Scriptures as the unique and authoritative witness to Jesus Christ
• Membership at Glenkirk Church as well as faithful attendance at worship services
• Previous service on committees or boards, service or affiliation with ministry groups
• Involvement with small groups, attendance at classes or Bible studies is desirable
